How about changing the settings in your camera to a smaller size? That way they are smaller as you take them and you wont need to re-size0

if you have m$ office then you can resize and compress in the office picture viewer0

you can just upload as they are and do a resize in the html code within the "img src" tag with a "height=" and "width=" entry after the image url, but then again, thats for those who know a little bit of html0
