My laptop and gaming

I downloaded the demo version of a game onto my laptop, and when I try to play it, I get the message:

"Warning, your computer does not meet the minimum specifications necessary to run this software.
You may experience errors during operation.
The video card does not have the necessary specifications."

My options are to to abort, retry and ignore.

When I ignore this message, the demo does load up and seems to work ok.

My question is this:

If I was to buy the full version of this game, will it work, given that the demo version seems to?

I obviously don't want to waste my money!

If you tell us the laptop spec and game then it might help..

Demos can be different to the full game as they get tweaked and improved but can also need slightly different equipment to run.

My laptop is actually quite new.... about 3 or 4 months old!

It's a Dell Inspiron 6400, Vista, 1.86GHz, 2gig RAM. I don't know anything about graphics/video cards, and wasn't thinking about gaming when I bought the laptop, so don't know what I have (not sure how to find out either)

The game I'm trying to play is Pro Evolution Soccer 2008.

could be brand new but if the op is trying to play crysis with integrated graphics they are stuffed.

we need to know the make & model of the laptop and the game/genre they want to play

odds are you have intel integrated graphics, football games arent that demanding and while integrated graphics are hidious it may be able to still run it, as the rest of the specs are healthy, ignore the comment and try it a very low rez working up till it aint playable.

Thanks for that... if anyone else has any opinions, it would be much appreciated.

Make sure you have the latest card manufacturers drivers for your card and not the ones from the laptop manufacturer..
