Indoor freeview aerial

I have a portable TV & want to set up a freeview box on it. I don't have an outdoor aerial so am looking for a very good indoor aerial that will pick up freeview channels.

Can anyone recommend one they have used or know is good please?

Thank you ;)

Before you take that route, check you postcode in the reception checker at

    http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/

If you are not in a very good area for reception, don't bother with an indoor aerial - I'm in a "variable reception" area and I've tried a number, including ones with built-in amplifiers - none of them worked. An outdoor one is (until switchover) the only option here.

if you have access to the loft then a normal outdoor aerial in the loft should work ok.
you can get them from about 10 to 15 quid. try wickes and maplins etc...

Depends on how good a signal area you are in. Aerials in the loft only if you are in a strong signal area as the loft reduces the amount of signal the aerial receives.

The post-code checker is based on an outside aerial several metres up.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

It doesn't sound like most indoor aerials will be much good then. TV signals are broadcast assuming that they will be received with a proper roof mounted external aerial. Obviously some locations will be able to use indoor set top type aerials but they tend to be prone to picking up local interference from hair dryers etc.
