Ipod Nano - Distance Run???

Hi All,

A vague sounding request here. A friend of mine is training for the London Marathon and was given an Ipod for xmas to boost morale and make those long runs a bit more enjoyable.

I remember reading somewhere (a paper I think?) about a device that is somehow linked to your ipod but goes in your trainer to tell you the distance you've covered.

Am I dreaming?????

Any help HUGELY appreciated as I would love to be able to get one of these for her.
