A&L SBT free when requested on application?

Can anybody confirm that if you apply for an A&L 0% credit card and ask on application to do a Super Balance Transfer into a current account, there is no balance transfer charge?

Martin seems to be saying this in his article -- http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1076883546,34894, -- but that was last updated on 4th May, and I can't find detailed terms & conditions for the A&L card online, and I don't particularly trust A&L anyway...... hence I'm asking the question!

Sorry if this question has been covered in the forum before: A&L isn't easy to search for!

You're right about the difficulty in searching for A&L - I had the same issue.

I didn't apply for an SBT on my application (I wasn't aware of that fee free possibility).

However, I have done an SBT, with a fee of £35, based on the fact that I will get the £25 bonus for the card (and already have the £25 bonus for opening the bank account). So it's kind of........fee free.

I didn't know about a £25 bonus for the card, but I've already got a bank account with them, so would that make me ineligible for the £25?

If I would be eligible, how would I claim it?

It is possible you will get it simply for applying for and then use of the card. A&L normally makes such 'incentive' payments automatically.
