Is there an alternative to fish, blood and bone for organic vegetarian gardeners

Are there any vegetarian organic gardeners out there who have found any alternatives to fish, blood and bone meal for fertilising the vegetable garden? At the moment I am using Growmore as a non-organic alternative but would be interested to know if there is anything out there that could be substituted.

Howabout something seaweed-based? My veggie friends use chicken poo pellets.0

All purpose fertiliser top of the page?

Set up a wormery, and you'll have an endless supply of liquid fertiliser, as well as the compost. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
You could also try comfrey leaves steeped in water for a couple of weeks, then diluted further. Thompson & Morgan sell comfrey pellets - £11.99 for 1 litre.

WARNING: if you live close to other people, they will not like the smell of comfrey water - it really honks! (Makes chicken poo seem like eau-de -cologne!)0

Isn't F, B & B organic?
Edit: Sorry ... you want a vegetarian alternative, which is also organic ..... I misread the whole postWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
Do you need specific nutrients?
I just dig well rotted manure into mine, once a year ... on certain beds in a rotation system.
Have never added any specific N, P, K formula - many gardens simply don't need it, especially if you're gardening organically. Organic gardening should mean that the nutrient content of the soil is maintained via your gardening practices, rather than the addition of specific nutrients.
Garden Organic has some specific advice re animal free fertilisers ... but they don't use fertilisers at all.
You could grow "green" manures - quick growing plants which you then dig into the soil. But do you really need to?

You can do the same thing with stinging nettles, which also honks, please remember to dilute comfrey or nettle water before using though, it's pretty strong. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett
