There is nothing WOW about CD Wow

I don't usually use CD Wow but as I had enough piggy points to order a £20 voucher I thought I would give them a try.

I probably should have done some research first because once I got my voucher code I went onto their site to find that the majority of things were more expensive than anywhere else anyway.

I eventually placed an order on 19th December and it was only when I checked my CD Wow account on the 29th December I noticed that my item was still on "pending dispatch". I sent them an email to ask why to which they replied

We do apologise to you very much for these delays, they are very regrettable.

We are as unhappy about these as our customers are. I assure you that we are trying as hard as we can to overcome them.

Unfortunately, we are still awaiting confirmation of when the goods will be
available for dispatch.

Although this is a very rare occurrence, I can appreciate how disappointing
it is. Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to
you on this occasion.

If you wish to cancel the order and receive a full refund due to the delay
please do not hesitate to get back to me.

As they couldnt give any idea to when the item would be available I decided to cancel and placed a new order on 2nd January.

Again on checking my account yesterday that item was also "pending dispatch", yet they debited the extra £9.00 from my credit card on 2nd January. :mad:

So, I sent them another email and I've got the same sort of response this morning. The suppliers couldn't provide the stock so they have had to order extra stock elsewhere asap and awaiting confirmation when it will arrive blah, blah, blah.

I can't believe that this company is surviving by taking orders and money for items that they can't even get hold of.

I'm now not sure whether to cancel this as the original item I ordered is know showing in stock again, but can I believe it to be correct?

AAARrrrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!! I'm so annoyed. CD Wow are Wowless!!!!!!

they used to be brilliant over a year ago, ordered items would arrive usually within a week.
throughout the spring/summer in 07 items started taking on average 3-4weeks to arrive (i used PP vouchers too most of last year)

i'm not sure if they purposly deliver faster if you actually pay for items rather than use vouchers but they have gone down hill pretty quick.
they used to be good for Region 1 DVD's and CD's only...now its barly worth the 7.99 per CD when places like amazon are starting to average that price

Sure there were some threads around on the site about the demise of CDWOW... think they got taken over by new folk back in Nov/Dec. seems as though they are still yet to sort themselves out... Does seem a bit daft ordering from them a second time if they didn't come up trumps the first, if you don't mind me saying... I personally would cancel the order... Can I suggest Play as a more reliable alternative?

I have just spoken to their customer services who tell me it has been shipped today

Still unsure whether to believe them as they also sent me an email today saying they have no idea how long it will take for their stock to come in.

I shall have to wait and see if it comes.
