Dyson DC07 Hose not sucking

Not sure if this is the correct area to post this question but wonder if somebody can suggest anything.
I have a Dyson DC07 upright cleaner and it works fine when I wheel it around to clean the floor. However, if I place it in the upright position and try to use the Wand/Hose pipe it does not suck anything. There is no suction at all. I have dismantled the hose pipe to ensure nothing is obstructing the pipe. I can hear the motor working but there is total loss of suction. I think somehow the cleaner is not recognising the fact that it is in the upright position. I have taken out the filters and cleaned them as well.
All assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Hi
This happened to me a few weeks ago, and on closer inspection, there was a tear in the actual hose itself.
Pull out the metal handle all the way out of the hose, and then stretch the hose all the way to the limit and just have a look up and down it for any tears.
I'm not saying that this is the problem, but it might well be!
All I did afterwards was buy a replacement hose on ebay, and all works fine now.
Hope this helps!0 -
I have had this problem before and it has usually been the wand but there are a couple of channels that sometimes get blocked,
this might be of some use plus I thought there was a page in instruction manual that explained and showed how to clear blockages

Mine does this sometimes, I put mine upright, but it hasn't always click into position properly so I give it an extra push
I've also had a rip in the hose for about 2 months, it's near the end though so I just make sure that I don't pull the hose all the way out. Must get round to fixing thatBulletproof0 -

I can hear the dyson clicking into position in the upright position but still not working. I'll try forcing some extra pressure to see if that works.0 -
Just to let everyone know that this problem has been fixed. The U-Bend connection that connects the hose pipe to the bottom of the cleaner was broken. I have bought a replacement and now the vacuum is functioning fine.0

Glad it's fixed
I've found both the website and the helpline to be brilliant for support. I had a hole in the hose and they sent me a new one foc.
Great customer service :T0
