    Today I have...

~ done Pigsback and Lightspeed clicks

~ Ordered £20 in John Lewis vouchers from Pigsback (they will go straight into the cupboard to put towards Christmas). :j

~ Ordered a £5 Amazon voucher from Lightspeed (again, I will try and keep this for Christmas). :T

~ taken lunch to work, and drank the free water/coffee provided there, instead of buying diet coke or giving in to the temptation of Starbucks!

~ taken two Christmas gifts back to Marks & Spencer (they didn't fit, and I didn't particularly like them, either :o) - one had gone into the sale, but I had a gift receipt so got the full amount back, the other hadn't been reduced so got the full amount back on that, too. Both were items of nightwear, which the givers would never expect to see me in anyway, so I did some of my food shopping in the foodhall (quite difficult actually - had to keep reminding myself that I wasn't "paying" for it, as such!!) as I don't really need to buy more new nightwear at the moment. Feel a mixture of guilt and delight - got some very nice food and it cost nothing from my food budget... ;) Still have £40.02 left on credit voucher...

~ popped into Asda for a couple of bits I couldn't get in M&S...just as they were reducing things. Picked up 3 x beef mince for 50p, plus a couple of large packs of veg (carrots/broccoli/cauliflower/parsnips) for 20p. Plus, picked up some tinned tomatoes on offer (not very DFW, I know, but Napolina tomatoes do taste better than the smartprice ones and they were £2.98 for 6 tins or £3 for 12 tins, so I now have a dozen tins in the cupboard...well, we'll definitely use them, and I think 25p/tin is not bad for Napolina!). :D

~ Paid some cash into the bank (Christmas pressie from Mr P's uncle).

~ Checked online banking and paid off credit card in full (only the monthly balance, not a long term debt, but it is a credit card which builds points which convert into vouchers longterm, so we try to use it through the month and clear it at the end of each month, and this one had all our Christmas spending on it) - feels good to have cleared it! :p

A very good day... Why can't I be this well behaved every day...?!?! :rotfl:

Before xmas I called Capital One and canceled my unused credit card. They gave me the usual speil about reconsidering etc, and said they'd send me a letter as confirmation. Today I received that letter, with all the usual info, except it stated I was £12.66 in credit and a cheque would follow!

How the hell did my account get to be in credit? Plus I am pretty certain that all the statements I got had it as a £0.00 balance! Anyway, what shall I spend it on, servicing other credit card debt, or just let it take the strain from my current account?

  • Hi everyone, another newbie here.

Today i got my electric bill and was pleased to find that due to not reducing my monthly payments after clearing some debit that had bulit up i still had a £77 credit after this bill was paid. So that will go towards my March bill (always the worst one) and hopefully if its no worse than last year i should still have a little bit of credit. I have a capped rate till 2009 so no worries over increases at the min.

Sold 4 books on ebay so need to get them posted tomorrow - £16

Completed a couple of surveys but yet again rejected for the Ciao ones (does anyone else have this problem?)

£10 cash back joining Jackpotjoy but didn't win anything so a standoff really, but at least no money lost due to the cashback

Tried to do piggy clicks but have nothing left to click unless i buy something (any tips on how to get clicks daily much appreciated)

Almost a NSD - 63p spent on brown paper for my ebay parcels

Homemade soup for lunch left over from Sunday

Made chicken pie from freezer and store cupboard ingredients - didn't come out too well :rotfl:
