When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
I will start off.
Today I will...
Not be doing much at all as I have woken up with the lovely cold that OH has had for the past 2 weeks:mad: .
So i shall be having a no spend day wrapped up in my fleecy throw on the sofa. .
I have put a lovely bean stew to cook in slowcooker for tea first though - just so we don't starve:D
Have a good day everyone.................

I am going to post a letter to cancel a £3 a month bill I can do without so that'll save me £36 a year
Hope your feeling better soon!0 -
Made a leftovers chicken stew last night, so I will be enjoying that as much as possible today.
Kids have gone back to school, so no more "can I have?" through the day.
Working 2 hours overtime.

- Will be cooking a 5 bean chilli tonight using up all of the fresh veg in the fridge and storecupboard items.
- Will look into the balance transfer offers on my two credit cards to try to shuffle the money around to pay the least interest whilst I am paying it off
- Will look at setting up another savings account to pay in about £20 a month towards next Christmas.
- Will only spend £1 in work (my 2 cans of Diet Pepsi to keep me going through the day)
- Have brought lunch in with me made from some fresh pasta starting to go off in the fridge

Hi everyone,
Today I will:- deal with two lots of papers, and find renewal forms for house/car insurance which I have to pay tomorrow
- sort stuff for recycling/dump and load car for the morning
- stick to mealplanner and keep spending diary updated
- reconcile my accounts with bank accounts online... now that I'm online again... signal was wiped out all day yesterday due to stormy weather:rolleyes:
I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.
