Anyone work for Renault?!
I am on the hunt for anyone who works for Renault!
We have a Renault Laguna which works with a keycard - the one that came with the car has just stopped working and our local Renault garage say we need a new one which will cost £110 + VAT!!
We also have a spare keycard which I bought off eBay, they say that one will cost £38.00 + VAT to modify to our car (but they can't guarantee it'll work!).
I need someone who could get 'the computer' to sort these cards out without it costing these ridiculous amounts.
Can anyone please help?!

I know how to reset renault keys but not these card types.
I had one remote that didnt work at all. So I got both sets, sat in the car, pressed the central locking for 5 secd then released. I then clicked both keys over and over again while sitting in the car. within seconds both reset to sync with each other
I too was told over £100 by renault0 -
How old is the faulty key card. You do have rights under the sale of goods act. Given that its part of a car that costs thousands a reasonable time would far exceed the 12 months that most companies try to rely on. Might be worth speaking to Trading Standards.
