DIY CONSERVATORIES and DURABASE BASES

Re Conservatories. I built my Victorian style conservatory on a Durabase last summer by myself - and I mean by myself, no other help at all. It took me a couple of months of weekends to get it fully finished. I would throughly recommend Durabase, it made the whole project simple. I used their steel framed dwarf walls as well. As proof of my satisfaction with the product I have another Durabase on order for a second conservatory and will be building an extention for a second bathroom using the Durabase system later this year. To finish - I have no conection with the company other than as a satisfied customer.

Thanks to fuzzyveggy for confirming what I thought - that the Durabase system is brilliant. I have one on order, due in a couple of weeks and I will post appropriate comments in due course.

Anybody got an idea of the cost of durabase? I am thinking of installing a diy conservatory here (France) and am looking at the finance and practicality issues in advance.
Further......anyone have experience of tradepriceconservatoties .com ?

Some years ago I fitted a Durabase with a Baltic Pine conservatory on it. Both products were excellent and also Baltic Pine aftersales service. It is shame that they went out of business. I think the base was about £800 , it might have been less. This was for a base about 4mtrs x3.5 mtrs D shaped base. It came in two sections that bolted together. It made the installation and footing very simple.
