Anyone else unable to get Sky or Vigin Media deals?

Hello!

This is my first posting, so please be gentle with me.

I have been told by both Sky and Virgin Media that I can't take advantage of their cheap bundles (See, Speak Surf or £30 for three services) because my local exchange hasn't been updated. Has anyone else tried to get these and been told the same thing? I have contacted BT and haven't responded. My exchange has been updated to receive broadband, but I don't know how much more updating they need to do. Am I being conned? I've contacted Ofcom for help, but they haven't gotten back to me yet, either.

You're not being conned, I am in an area which isn't cable (virgin/ntl) and sky don't operate their network from my exchange, sky would offer broadband to me (on their lite/connect package or whatever it's called but theyre just a re-seller in that case and I don't think that it can be used as part of the packages)

if you google samknows you'll be able to check all broadband suppliers at your local exchange
