Ok to run network with XP and Vista?

I have a desktop PC running XP. I'm considering adding a laptop. Would it matter if the laptop runs on Vista from the point of view of setting up a network?

They will work together on the same network no problems, I have had several different OS's running on mine at the same time.0

Make sure all the computers are on the same Workgroup name if you want to share files.0
