Welcome to out little corner of cyber space. I haveposted a few ideas above. I'm pretty useless with CC/snowballing advice but someone who isnt will be along soon.
There are quite a few things missing from you SOA though. Food, gas, travel are a few that spring to mind.
Keep posting and good luck for Wednesday:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Or I'll come round your houses and stamp on all your toys" The ONE, the ONLY, the LEGENDARY Gene Hunt :heart2:0 -
Hi there
Just bumping you up beore you dissapear off the bottom of the page. Other users (who know a lot more tahn me will be along in a bit but in the meantime, as your outgoings are higher than your incomings you might want to check out the cccs website, they are a charity that help people in debt (see sticky at the top of the forum to make sure you go to the right place)
The first things that I can see on your SOA are your council tax (you can get this over the full year not just 10 months, it is a priority that this is paid above other things but if you give your council a call you might be bale to get the last few payments broken down across the rst of the financial year.
Your electricity also looks a bit high - could be worth switching supplier, and you might be able to save a few quid by combining telephone and internet.
Could you turn your mobile into a PAYG or reduce the tariff at all??
What is the account charge for and do you absolutely need the morgage protection?? Also can you trim the opticians bill at all (is it contact lenses?? you can get great discounts online and can get cashback on purchases through Quidco)
The only other thing that I can't see is any allowance for travel, do you walk/cycle everywhere or do you need to add this in.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Hi, how much do you spend on food, petrol/bus fares and general daily living, this is another area to look at .LBM 17th April 2007:j
Credit Cards paid - July 2008 [strike]Sainsys,M&S,[/strike][strike] HSBC[/strike]
Grocery Challenge £350
DEBT FREE AND STILL TRYING HARD0 -
I reckon you could shave quite a lot off your SOA without too much trouble
Council tax - you could save 11 a month by paying over 12 months
Electric- I reckon you could save a 10 at least by switching, swapping to low energy light bulbs, turning things off standby etc.
Mobile- I reckon you could get this down to 10 a month on PAYG- or try haggling for a much better deal and more minutes and save money on home phone.
Mortgage - is this repayment or interest only - maybe you could go interest only for a few months and try and pay off some of the other debts? worth a look.
Account charge- prob best to ditch this unless they have some amazing benefit that's worth 120 a year.
I reckon that's 52 a month without too much hassle- also could you get a phone and internet deal and save a bit there as well?
Also, am hoping you forgot this and you really eat and also I guess you have some other expenses in there as well - travel to work/car expenses/birthdays?
Anything you can flog on ebay/car boot etc?
Think the second job thing is a fab idea- Good Luck.Making my money go further with MSE :j
How much can I save in 2012 challenge
75/1200 :eek:0 -
Gemmzie
Thanks for the reply, the Alliance & Leicester is £242 per month
The lloyds cc yes i have withdrawn cash on this as well as purchasing things
Egg the 1.3% is from a balance transfer valid until that date.
With regards to travel/car etc i have a lease car through my job & that covers tax, MOT, service etc, insurance etc. I pay for fuel which is probably about £15 a week(i live on my own & have a full store cupboard.AT LBM 7/1/08 (£24,018.09)- 25/09/11 (£13,032.25) - 26.04.15 - £6,429.70

Dancing Fairy thank you for your reply
I`ll check out the council tax for next year & see if they will do it for me.
Electricity- i`ve already got energy saving bulbs in most of my lights & everything is always off standby
I have recieved a text from orange saying that i can reduce my monthly bill so i`ll give them a ring
Mortgage is a repayment one, this i have via 3 sub accounts & 1 of them is due to come off the fixed rate at the beginning of feb so i have an appointment with them to look at that.
I haven`t a clue for what the account charge, could it be due to the fact that i`m overdrawn every month.?
I have put a fair few things onto ebay tonight so lets see what that brings..
I`ll give some of them a go & see what comes of it
