You get an 0871 number to use and as long as you don't go more than 90 days without receiving a fax it stays active.
Completely free for you and you can always send yourself a fax to keep it active.

Not sure if you are with Vodafone or not, if you are you can use Vodafone Mail which is an enhanced version of their voicemail service.

    From Vodafone's web site:
"Vodafone Mail brings all of your messages together, letting you receive and respond to email, faxes and voicemail in one place, using a mobile phone, a fixed phone, or the internet.

Vodafone Mail gives you a range of options so you can manage your messages, wherever and whenever you want.
    • Call 242 to listen to email messages on your mobile
    • Check voicemail messages on your mobile or on any internet-connected PC
    • Check faxes on any internet-connected PC or dial in to print them on any fax machine
    • Forward voicemail messages to colleagues
    • Send voice messages directly to individuals and groups of people"
    More details available here: http://online.vodafone.co.uk/dispatch/Portal/appmanager/vodafone/wrp?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=template10&pageID=BS_0007

I use it to access my emails via my mobile and also as a hotmail account. It's pretty good to have everything in one place.
  • Thanks for that,

    went with faxtastic
  • I know it's a bit late suggesting this now, but my old ISP, Demon, offered this service using an 0870 number on their home-office package - I wonder whether any others do the same.

  • You can get an 0845 (local rate calls) number for free using these people. I've used them for a while now and been very happy. You can chose to receive the fax as either a Tif or PDF which is brill!
