Contacting other Ebayers & Online Surveys

Two questions I suppose, but one related to the other.
Firstly, I've never known whether it's accepted that Ebayers can contact each other to ask about their old transactions - such as "What do you really think about your transaction with XYZ" or similar
I suppose that the fact I wouldn't mind myself would mean that it's ok.
Secondly I'm bemused by the offers of vouchers/money for completing online surveys. My first thoughts are SCAM!!! BEWARE!!!! but then I see all the happy faces and positive feedback (from people with healthy feedback themselves) and I wonder whether it does add up after all.
Example

This screams stay away, but I wondered whether any MSEs had experience of this online survey gig.

I didn't read all the feedback, just the first few pages. Most of the comments seem to be fast delivery or similar, not much about the product actually making them money though :-/Bulletproof0

I was interested in buying a memory foam mattress recently, Tempur make the original ones but they cost nearly £1,000. Other brands were on ebay for between £200- £500 for a kingsize, and some for much less.
Obviously with a mattress you need to sit/lie on it to know if it's comfortable or inspect it closer for the quality. I didn't want to buy one just from a photo.
So, I e-mailed 3 or 4 people who had bought one of the mattresses I was interested in and just asked their opinion on it. They were each really helpful and more than happy to tell me about their experiences and whether they would recommend or not. I sent them a return e-mail thanking them for their time and help.
I wouldn't normally have contacted past buyers but as it was for the same item that they had all bought, and I was about to spend a fair amount of money I needed an unbiased opinion, I thought it was fair enough.0 -
Surveys.
They can all be found on the net for free you do not need to pay someone for the address.
You will not make £1000 unless you are selling info or being paid to give links to sites.
Even then you will need a heck of a lot of traffic to generate any reasonable amount.
Take a look at caio.
http://www.ciao.co.uk/Reward_Loyalty_5022381_3
They have users reviews of sites for earning money, a lot of them are now defunct but there are still quite a few out there.
I do surveys more for fun but I expect some sort of reward for my time after all they are being payed for the results.
I have never written reviews on Caio but have earned money for surveys.
I like testing new products best but I don`t get many of these.
If you are into computers in a technical way then you can earn quite a bit up to $80 or so per survey I`m not so havent done this, but ocassionally I get invites.
Also testing new websites may intrest you ,I find this boring after the first few and can`t be bothered with them now.
It all comes down to your demographic profile.
If you work in advertising you are unlikely to be targeted along with a few other occupations they appear to be blacklisted Journalists are another.
If you have small children especially babies be prepared lots of surveys on food ,nappies, lotions and potions I dont have any kids but nearly every week I get an invite.0 -
