I am fortunate enough never to have seen the advert (since I never really watch anything on the Beeb) however it sounds to me like the equivalent of QVC's Christmas in July (which I am looking forward to immensely ... did you spot the subtle hint of sarcasm). Is the new Doctor Who actually any good? I saw about 5 minutes of it one night and it looked like the special effects had reached new lows with obvious rubberised suits and silly make-up. How about getting the Doc to take on Alien or the Predator ... much more interesting

I thought the new series was very good, particularly the last two episodes... I didnt want it to end!
