Hi Dorry, not aware of any current deals, but have you looked at National Express coaches? Also, you can sometimes get cheap deals with a local coach company.
If you can book ahead and be flexible, you can get good rail rates - which might be better for the distance involved. I've just done a quick search for train fares Feb/March - 2 random days came out as £35.5 in Feb (single adult, no railcard) and £12.9 in March. Assume you have railcard, which will shave off a third? Check tickets carefully - GNER made a printing error on ours which caused a bit of bother.
You could also consider driving to a city station such as York, leaving you car and getting a good deal from there. I've noticed that sometimes the intercity ones are much cheaper.0 -

Just searched using railcard option - you would need to persevere with dates as 5 March shows single journey for 2 adults 1 child + card as £38.70, whereas following day is £65.65...
AS for hotel, there are still some Travelodge bargains if you are flexible. City Road is nice.0 -
:j Brilliant 2 nights 4 price of one in the Crowne Plaza hotel New Bridge street @ Blackfriars. Absolutely 100m from the underground. Just back - got an executive room (inclusive of breakfast, free alcohol & snacks/ fruit btwn 6- 9:30 - free soft drinks tea/ coffee all day.
Bargain price £200 for 2 people for 2 nights & I think kids under 12 are free - stunning hotel & nice staff. There's a link on the Miss Selfridge( !!) site for winter treats just follow it :j :j0 -

I know that Megabus operate coaches from Scotch Corner (and possibly Middlesbrough?) to London for as little as £1 per person each way. :money:0
