Hi,
My daughter has been given a laptop and we are trying to set up a wireless connection on it.
I have a Netgear router.

I am completely clueless as to what to do:confused: , I only want her to use the i'net so would like a secure connection.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a clear, step by step guide on what to do?
I have tried setting the router to 'allow wirelss' but the laptop isn't finding it?

Thanks in advance.;)

The first thing to check is that the laptop has wireless built in or a wireless card fitted. If you look at the stickies at the top of the techie section there is a lot of advice on how to do this.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

There is a video on YouTube that might help if you have another internet connection to view it with. I haven't watched all the way through so not sure what they are covering, but it did say netgear and wireless, lol.
