First timer to America

This is the first time I have had to plan holiday insurance and I'm not too sure as to where I will find the best deals. I'm flying to America, staying for almost 6 weeks, to see my daughter and suggestions would be appreciated as to where to get a good deal. I have a long term medical problem, depression, so not sure where I can go to get good help.

Buy it online at one of the price comparisons, moneysupermarket.com for example. And buy an annual policy for a family or if your just a couple then buy for a couple its the best way, but also check your bank if you have a plus policy you will already have it.

  • Change of topic slightly,

make sure your eligable for the visa waiver program in plenty of time and make sure you get locks for your case which can be opened by the imigration/security people in the u.s. Otherwise they may break your case if they need to look in it. ouch!

apologies if you knew this already.

For the suitcases i always use cable ties they will cut them not the bags, but yes if they cant undo a lock they will break the case open.
