How much do 0844 numbers cost to phone?
I have had a look round and recently moved to the Post Office for Home Phone and cant even find any info on there about 0844 numbers.
I needed to phone PC World to check stock on an item and there number is
0844 561 0000 couldnt see anything on there site about charges to this number.

Depending on their 5th, 6th and 7th digits, they can cost ½p, 1p, 2p, 3p, 4p or 5p per minute from a BT landline.
See HERE (it'll probably be of no surprise to anyone to find out that PC World's 0844 561 0000 number costs 5p per minute!)
However, each of their stores has a separate geographical number - some of which are listed in SayNoTo0870's database - which store are you wanting?
