just got an npower gas bill (actually arrived before Christmas, but I've been away and apparently no-one else can open bills, but that's another story!). every time we have to send a meter reading as they overestimate by between 30-60%, but suddenly this time they underestimated us by 200% - and just before the price increases! clearly expecting us to not check the meter and then to pay the extra at a higher price. i'm sure they shouldn't be able to do things like this (not that i have any ideas how to stop them!!)

the post was actually also intended as a warning to other npower customers to check.... changing supplier is something we did manage to think of on our own, but i thought this might help some other people!:happyhear0

Thanks for this Melancholly. We too are currently sorting our bill out with N Power and we have been under-estimated too. Very frustrating and I'm waiting for the big bill to come in when they finally sort it out (when I say bill, I mean monthly DD amount).
As for changing the supplier espresso, would love to but I will probably be in some sort of arrears now and won't be able to leave with a huge lump sum to pay.
Its a shame, because when it all kicked off with British Gas last year, I remember thinking how I was OK with N Power.Happy and thankful with never enough time to do everything:rotfl:0 -
oops - sorry!:happyhear0

you have assumed i allowed arrears to build up based on nothing. i'm not quite sure why you have a problem here so i'll leave the thread alone now - i don't see that your posts have given any benefit and are actually, a little rude!
edit - no i am indeed silly!:happyhear0
