Bakewell Bridge (again)
Hello, all. I am also working through a PCN from ParkIt Management at Bakewell Bridge. I paid for the parking on exit as calculated by the system but ParkIt can't trace my payment to my car "..you've paid for another vehicle..". IAS rejected the appeal because the transaction was dated one day later, which Tesco CC tell me is when the operator uploaded the transaction file. I've now got a letter from Gladstones and with the support of Claude (my recommended AI app) have drafted a response letter, so am interested in other's experiences..?

Did you pay for another vehicle on the app? Or did you pay and they are claiming they didn't receive the payment on the day? Looking at the reviews the owner just blames the banks for any late payment on their system.
Don't send anything to Gladstone just yet. And AI is usually garbage because it also absorbs all the wrong advice posted on the internet.4 -
Have a read of the “Newbies” thread and maybe look to ditch the AI as that isn’t always the best option whereas the advice on here will be

Please show both sides of the actual PCN with your data & refs/VRM redacted but all dates showing.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I didnt use the app, I paid on exit at the machine, which calculated the correct fee based on the data I entered. They've accepted that payment but allocated it to another vehicle…I've asked them to show me which vehicle, and the ANPR that goes with that reg'.
Here's their response to my first stage appeal.
I have asked ParkIt to email me a copy of the original PCN…it's here… somewhere…but why shouldn't they?

They are not going to supply someone else's data to you, due to data protection
You should have the original NTK PCN letter

Thanks. PCN attached.
I get the data protection restriction but I am not asking them to share restricted data; I'm asking them to share with me ANPR for a VRN that they say I have paid for. The VRN matched to the car model is public domain info (e.g. DVLA MOT checker), and the transaction will be a linked to a credit card that will be in my name. So if they had that data (which I'm confident they don't) they should be able to share it, no?

None of the above paperwork states that a payment was made against a different VRM than your own so they arent going to reveal any other VRM
The pcn and also the appeal rejection state that no valid payment was made that can be attributed to your vehicles VRM ( Which is why they issued the NTK PCN invoice letter. )
You said the following. "..you've paid for another vehicle..".
I cannot see that statement from Parkit

That statement was made by ParkIt in the IAS appeal process, screenshot attached.

Not quite. They've said no payment for that vehicle, so it could be a minor typo. Ask them for evidence and why they didn't follow the keying errors rule.

I have asked them for evidence - see that IAS screenshot - they didn't offer any.
AI told me about the keying error rule (6.3?) which calls for a manual check and cancellation where a payment has been made in the presence of a minor keying error. I will reference that in my letter to Gladstones.
