Below Standard eBay Seller Account?
I recently returned to my private eBay seller account in order to sell off some unwanted CDs and video games from the house.
The last time I did this was before the advent of Simple Delivery.
Unfortunately I have dug myself into a hole because some of my orders started using Simple Delivery and giving me parcel sizes that were unsuitable such as changing large letter to small parcel. I went through listings and cancelled a few to get things right and eventually I got more used to how it works.
Unfortunately the cancelled orders around eight in total have become defects on my account and put it below standard.
The cancelled orders are the only negative on my account according to the metrics.
Can anyone advise on if it is best to ride it out or delist my listings and wait for the account to recover or is it any use reaching out to eBay to ask them.

You could try reaching out to Ebay and explain what happened. I've no idea if it will work but all you've got to lose is a bit of time on a chat. Explain the situation and the result and that it's slowing your ability to sell on Ebay and you have learned from your error.

Thanks, Your right! I got nothing to lose by trying this and see what they say.
Enjoy everyday like it's your last!0 -
The worst thing to do would be to stop selling as the percentage defect won’t go down until you water it down with successful sales.
I’m sure you’ve sorted out Simple delivery now but just in case it’s worth noting the label provided by eBay is already paid for, so if you were sent parcel size labels the buyer had already accepted the cost, and it does mean you can use a bit more padding g to safely pack the items. In fact there less than 30p difference between a LL and small parcel label now under SD on eBay.
