Stopping on red route Gatwick charge - Trace recovery
Hi all
As a registered keeper I've received a letter from Trace chasing payment for a parking charge issued by Times24 UK. I was rather shocked since I haven't received any ticket initially. Turned out I forgot to change address on my logbook.. I've changed my driving license and insurance but simply forgot the V5C. I have updated the address since.
I imagine the ticket has been issued due to few seconds of slowing down trying to find way around the airport which has been quite confusing and difficult.
I'm trying to get the post from the previous address and access the initial letter but at the moment I don't have any proof of the offence.
How do I tackle this? Should I contact Times24 and explain hoping they will send it again and I could appeal or do I contact debt collectors?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You do nothing except confirm which address is correct. Go on Trace's Portal and tell them to erase the old address immediately.
You know already from reading post 4 of NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST where to put their £170 threatograms.

Thank you. Looking at existing threads I understand the case will go back to Times24 eventually and will I deal with them when it happens or what are the next steps? Do I let them know about change of address too since I haven't received their letter?

Yes email their DPO to erase the old address.

Sorry do I use one of the templates posted or just ask them to erase my old address? Is it possible to appeal the fine still or do I ignore it, since I've never seen it, and wait? It's been almost two months since they've issued it according to the threatening letter.
I just want to avoid the case escalating further and it's first time ever something like this has happened to me!
Thank you for your help!!

Too late to do anything other than confirm the correct address for the service of papers and they both must erase the old address, so a Data Rectification Notice

You can Google how to word a Data Rectification Notice or use this one changing parking operator name. If you don't have PCN no include your car registration number.

Thank you all.
Is it worth sending SAR as well requesting copies of all communication they've been sending and any data they have on record based on GDPR Article 15?
Would the below get me anywhere or is it waste of time? And then asking the PCN is re-issued to the correct address for the initial amount and usual notice to respond / appeal? Obviously stating I'm not confirming liability.
Request for Reconsideration and Suspension of Debt RecoveryI acknowledge that the address held on the DVLA vehicle keeper register at the time of the alleged parking incident was not my current correspondence address. However, I was unaware of this parking charge and have consequently had no opportunity to respond to the original notice, exercise my right to appeal or challenge the alleged charge.I request that you review the handling of this case, provide details of any address tracing or verification checks undertaken, and confirm whether reasonable steps were taken to establish my correct address before proceeding with debt recovery.0 -
No SAR. Just address. Not the above!
