Which tariff? Electric - 2775kwh, Gas - 8726kwh
My mum's British Gas Collective Nov26 tariff is due to end soon.
Looking on the her British Gas energy usage page for the 12 month period it states
3rd October 2025 and 30th October 2026
Annual Electric October 2026 to September 2026 = £853.33
Annual Electric October 2026 to September 2026 = 2775kwh
Annual Gas October 2026 to September 2026 = £528
Annual Gas October 2026 to September 2026 = 8726kwh
Annual cost for both = £1381
My mum is a pensioner (only receives the basic state pension) and is disabled, she is concerned as she knows the cost of energy is going up a lot in January.
My mum lives in Liverpool. Knowing her location and the amount of kwh of energy she uses, what would be her best bet when when her tariff ends, another fixed deal or a tracker, which is best in her circumstances?
Thanks for reading.

With that detail on use it will be pretty straightforward using one of the comparison sites for an accurate view. A fix is likely the better option, if you can get one with a no internal switch fee then even better.

Gas prices are already considerably higher than the rate she is currently paying, when does her fix run out?

in terms of tariff considerations are things like usage patterns. Maybe look at devices like ovens verse air fryers or microwaves.
You could also look at benefits options to help with bills etc
Solar/battery grants could also be available too

If she lives in a Band A to Band D property she will get £100 from the Govt in January, paid through her local authority.
Have you investigated claiming Pension Credit, or Attendance Allowance?

Thanks for the replies.
My mum has received the £150 warm home discount. She lives in a HA house so should get £100 in January

Have you tried different suppliers for the Gas and Electric. ?
But yes your figures show just how much energy cost has gone up - the Gov help with VAT on Electric will help a little
