A suggestion. Our local salavation army collects toys and stuff for local families at Christmas. They always collect masses of baby stuff and toys but never have enough stuff for teenagers so they have to buy gift vouchers.

So coming up to Christmas, if you still have too many bags and extra toiletries and cosmetics, make some gift bags up.

the first time i bought face masks i asked for a price check because they were priced at £1.66 but i'd read on here that they were cheaper - she had to actually do a sale to get the end price of 66p, then void that sale. otherwise it doesn't take the final third off. i did that at the pharmacy counter (for behind the counter stuff, not the prescription counter) where the staff are always smiley and helpful, of course you have to wait until it's not busy because it's a pharmacy till and you shouldn't use it just to buy normal shelf stuff if there are people waiting to ask advice and buy calpol etc. there's on assistant i try to go to because she's nice and doesn't scowl when i get a bargain lol!

so i think if yours came up at a pound then the final price would have been a third off that - 66p, because when the poound price comes up it also says *save* but the saving doesn't come off until the sale goes through. it might be worth a try for a pound because you get 100 points back so it is free, even if it's not cheaper than free, but i'm sure you'd get it for 66p.

charity shops are always happy to take things off your hands if you only bought them to get the points. they especially liked the little me gift sets recently, i gave them a few.

Charity shops do love these gifts but also get ready for the This Morning Christmas Appeal - I gave loads of my Argos cheapies to them last year;). Lots of little bits and pieces I can put in my shoebox;).

I have just come back from Boots - no more 100 points vouchers on Medeiterranean Range. I tried my card and my daughter's card.

Ditto all three of my cards, not that there was anything to be had anyway. I wish I hadnt been so slow off the mark with this. Still an extra 1200 points on my card is not tto bad.

No intuition razors either.

I did though finally get the new July Boots mags so at least its something.

Also en route to Boots had a call from Boots re my query as to why I dont get mailings. The girl had a good look at my account and was very puzzled, frequent spending pattern, good use of vouchers, good points balance etc. The only thing that she could find wrong on my profile was that I was down as a MR instead of a Mrs (looks like men get very few mailings). So it looks like I will be forever without mailings form Boots unless the computer has a change of heart.

But she did give me an extra 250 points on my card but I have to wait now for three weeks for a new card to appear. Just have to hope that a good offer does not appear on the machines now until my new card arrives.

It's fab giving away the stuff from Boots to a good cause, we took bags of things abroad when we went to do some voluntary work. Coming back with empty bags never felt so good!!

They have removed that particular voucher from the machine as all the other offers that were there yesterday were still there but not that one...... They must have sussed about all the unusual activity around their Mediterranean range.

I am late getting on this particular bandwagon (story of my life!) but I did manage to get some yesterday. Got the voucher, then couldn't see any bags, but lo and behold, on a different shelf altogether, with a shelf label saying £10 - there were 11 bags! I recognised them from the picture on here, so grabbed them (I have 3 friend's birthdays alone this month!) and some of the range and headed off to a till. I confused matters when the price came up as 49p as I was genuinely convinced they should have been 32p - duly carted the SA off to see the shelf, then after some consultation with a supervisor, she agreed they should be 32p, so keyed each one in INDIVIDUALLY, then put them in the bag individually (which took an embarrassingly long time) and when I got my receipt I had got them for 21p as the till had taken off another 11p! I then went back (of course) and got more of the toiletries which weren't brilliant prices as all the face masks had gone obviously, but very useful things for presents in future. Altogether I spent about £50 but got £38 in points on my card. I have never had so much money on my card! The thing is one of my friends has a birthday today so she has got a selection in a bag, but when the other two this month see that they get the exact same thing, they are going to be very suspicious, aren't they?

This is the first time I have ever managed to get something like this, I stand there in Boots and can never figure out which to buy with which voucher or I don't have the right voucher with me and I am always on my lunch hour and just don't have the time to work it all out. The staff annoy me as there seems to be so many of them but you can never get served!
