Hi Yasmine - the bags are the posh empty ones that you buy then fill yourself to give as a gift. They're about A5 size, pink and stripey, with pink rope handles, and a big white orchid and small black one (or is it the other way round)? on them. They say "orchid" on the bottom, next to the barcode, but nothing about being part of the Mediterannean range. You may find them near the Mediterannean goodies in store, or elsewhere, often with loads of other gift bags (try near the tills).

Not sure if this has changed but when i went to the advantage machine today it allows as many coupons as you want but it states 1 coupon per transaction.

So you have to go through the til 3 times to get 100 points each time if you are buying 3 mediterriean products.

Yup, 1 coupon per transaction - but for some reason, scan through 1 coupon and xx number of med products, and the till gives you 100pts per product purchased.

I got the Med extra points from the advantage card machine and bagged myself 12 orchid bags and 1 hair mask which was about £1.30. When I got to the checkout the girl looked to see if my points had been added for the hair mask, and she was stunned to see that I had got points for the bags aswell. 1300 points for a spend of £5.17. She couldn't believe it but was very nice and said she wouldn't query it. Can they query it instore and have the points total deducted before you pay ?

My OH used to work for Boots and his manager was an ex-police officer. In his training he was told that they must never query a price after the customer had taken the item to the checkout. They were told that if anything seemed odd or wrong then they should allow the customer to take it at that price and then sort the problem out after i.e alert HO of a price error ect. Now I am just speculating but I imagine that this will be the same with points as well. If they have been added by the till then that is what the customer must be given and then any errors must be sorted out after. I have to say I have always found the staff in my local to be fantasic and have never been told that something was wrong and I have never felt like they suspected me of anything, guess i'm just lucky! well before I saw the picture I was just envious but seeing the photo of what I've not been able to find anywhere I am now wild with jeoulousy LOL

Actually I think even if I did have any I dont think I could actually give them away, far too pretty. It would be a case of "I've brought you a lovely something (a Christmas relic bought with my Boots points stash) but you cant keep the bag, thats mine :)

Ooh, I've just thought of something! If this bag counts as part of the Med range, then all the other ranges that have similar bags should (hopefully) work on similar points offers!

E.g. in my search for the Orchid bag today I saw some Botanics bags (stripy bluey-green ones, from what I remember). Well, how often do we have Botanics points promotions? Pretty often! So, and obviously I'm just speculating, these might get the extra points too (unless Boots realise their mistake and fix it, which is not tremendously likely).

What do you guys think?

My card doesn't give me points for the Mediteranean range; fortunately I have a "sister" who lives with me and "her" card had the voucher.

I only get offered 25 points on meal deals but my husband gets 150 points on his card so today after getting a couple of medit. things I got a meal deal too, used my card but vouchers from other two cards - no problem! Then I passed a spare meal deal voucher to friend - completely different name - but she got the extra points too.

I have a box where I keep all my credit card receipts and this afternoon, I was going through this. I came across a receipt from Boots dated 30 April. My points award that day was 1225 on a £45.44 spend, taking my points total to 13244.

I found a 1000 points on a £30 spend lurking in my wallet which I had forgotten about. I used that this morning, to buy some gift bags and No7 wipes, spent £31.11, received 2803 points, a free No7 mascara and a £5 voucher. Having purchased in total 57 Mediterranean gift bags yesterday and today, and I don't know how many little me sets, maybe 12, I was up to 21967 points this morning.

I took my daughter into Boots after school and used some of today's points to get her some perfume she wanted. There were no gift bags left, but I did find 4 bottles of Mediterranean shampoo which had been reduced to £1.00, which went through at 66p. For some reason, I only received 100 points for this. When I queried this and explained that I had known this I would have done the shampoo as 4 separate transactions, the supervisor just told the cashier to add 300 points to my card.

Currently I have 19891 points and I must say a big thank you to the op for the Mediterranean post and also the op for the Little Me sets. My only problem is finding some room to put all these things.

dollywops - put the items on ebay or give some to a local charity to let them raffle off and then everyone is a winner!
