Wrong readings

Electric costs she has…Day Consumption29.13p Night Consumption12.98p
Standing charge47.13p per day.
There are two adults and one teen living there and I worked out that between 11 Feb and 10 June this year she used. Day 268 units. Night 882 units
So I think that shows the readings are the wrong way round.

I'd do nothing and leave that decision to your relative. Only they know what appliances are in use overnight. You could confirm which is day or night by taking a reading in the morning and one late afternoon and see which register has incremented.

You say the meter readings (=displays?) aren't very clear, so why not innocently ask BG to send a meter reader out?
If the meter reader doesn't notice the problem then nothing changes and it should strengthen your relative's case significantly when the problem eventually comes to light. They can't be expected to be cleverer than an official meter reader.
If the meter reader does notice the problem then you won't get the blame. You don't have to tell your relative that you asked the reader to come, they can think it was just a long overdue routine visit.

That's a good idea, next time we go there I'll do that, I think it would be better if I am there.

If they have used three to four times as much at night than at day then, unless they have an unusual lifestyle, if they correct it they will get a big bill. Personally, I'd talk to them and let them decide. Even with the example above for Feb to June, switching the readings around the other way is an extra £62, so potentially £180 per year.
