Switching to Vanguard Global All Cap ETF VALL
I previously posted the results of calculating the gain/loss of Net Asset Value in dollars resulting from selling £100K of VEVE and buying £100K of VALL at the closing price each day. This gain/loss occurs as a result of the differing discount or premium to Net Asset Value of the two ETFs. It does not include brokerage fees or the bid/offer spread. We now have more data and I have repeated the calculation. I have assumed that the trade is split into four tranches on consecutive trading days. Here are the results (with the most recent trades first):
$4.41
$-9.57
$21.45
$70.99
$48.32
$16.10
$-42.37
$-103.47
$-38.74
$-29.70
$-87.18
$-227.52
The cost of switching to VALL has come down dramatically. I expect that is because VALL now has more of a two way trade, rather than just purchases.
