Where to buy greater than 3.2m kitchen worktop?

Hi
I need some help, I've searched this forum and although some posts skirt around the topic, there isn't one that really answers my question. So here goes -
We're buying a new kitchen from MFI and need a wood effect laminate worktop that is 3.2m long. MFI only do 3m long worktops and as a result, our breakfast bar is being shortened to 1m instead of 1.2m and although it's only a small amount, I feel it really makes a difference. And we lose a bridging unit above the breakfast bar.
They quoted a really good price of £170 for the 3 x 3m Formica worktops as part of the overall kitchen and I'm worried that I'll not find a comparable price if I buy the worktop separately to get the 3.2m that I need.
So, are there any places that do cheap (but not forsaking quality) worktops over 3.2m that would fit an MFI kitchen? Apparantly the depth is an issue here as MFI ones are not the normal 600mm wide? Help would be VERY much appreciated.
PS I live in the Northampton area

Can't you get them joined? I am sure there are kitchen fitters out there who could join two lengths.. they use a sort of resiny stuff that makes the join all but invisible...0

Most Joinery firms will make you a bespoke one or cheapest I''ve seen on Ebay was £130 Delivery normally £30 - 60

Bushboard do them in 4.1m lengths http://www.bushboard.co.uk/products.asp but we went with a duropal worktop http://www.duropal.co.uk/ as we couldn't find one we liked which also had upstands.
If you go to the duropal website, you can order worktop samples to be sent out free of charge; bushboard do this as well.
After extensive searching online, we bought ours from http://www.u-diy.com/ as they were local to us in Leicester so better for delivery costs. From memory, I think we paid approx £420 for 2 x 4.1m worktops (depth 600mm but they do 670mm and 900mm too) and 3 x 4.1m upstands. Ordering was easy as I rang them up instead of going through the website and I just had to ring them two days prior to us needing it delivered, some other places (Jewsons included) needed a much longer lead time.
I'm really happy with our worktops now (wasn't at the time of choice as I let my husband choose lol!) and I'd really recommend duropal. Just bear in mind when looking at prices online that some may seem cheaper but delivery is per worktop. One website was £10 cheaper per worktop but charged a whacking £40 per worktop delivery - what a crock!!!
Anyway, I've burbled on long enough, hope that helped. I spent many hours searching for worktops, looking at samples, ordering samples and don't even get me started on doorknobs lol!0 -
Selco builders merchants do 4.2m lengths to order, as do Howdens0
