Charter Savings Bank - New Platform
Both myself and wife have been notified of the new platform that CSB are to introduce early 2027. Does anybody know of why they're changing to the new "Online Services" platform and how it will affect day to day use.
Are there examples of other institutions making this change and what advantages or disadvantages could there be for customers.
We are midway through term on a number of savings bond and can't withdraw the money anyway. Can anyone offer more information, please

Kent Reliance (from the same group as Charter) have been moving people onto a new platform for some time. I have found the new platform excellent. I had an easy access account which was instant for deposits and withdrawals. I also have 2 fixed rate accounts which were instant for deposits. Accounts very easy to open and use. I guess Charter will be using the same platform. If so no worries

Looks much like any other bank that is upgrading its online portal. Do you have this link?
Only change that is important is that you will need to register for the new system once your accounts have been migrated.

For a time you may have had two logins for Kent Reliance depending on what product you had, as some products were moved across to the new platform before others.
Rather than a huge "move day" it was done in stages, so you needed to access both portals separatly to view your various Kent Reliance accounts.

You are assuming that the Charter Savings move will follow the same implementation path as KRBS?
Makes sense since they are part of the same group.

As Indicated below Kent Reliance's new online platform now supports a fully compliant Flexible ISA.
it is my hope that Charter Savings Bank will follow suit, so I will have access to two more flexible cash ISAs ( at decent rates ), in addition to Paragon and Ford Money.
I have suggested to Charter Savings that a mobile app as an alternative to laborious Web logins, would be useful so hopefully that may be their next step towards convenient customer access functionality in future.
