Nationwide switch direct debits
I am thinking of transferring a second bank account to Nationwide, but have only just set up the direct debits in the second bank account.
They are all showing as being active, but no payments have been taken as yet - due on 1st Nov.
Will I be ok to apply now but put the switch date as 10th Nov, for example, by which point the direct debits will have come out? Or is it best to wait until the 1st Nov when the payments have come out?

By 'second bank account' assume you don't mean your second switch into this account?
Is there any chance that the offer will go away before 1st Nov? If so get it in now.
Otherwise I'd be waiting for those DDs to pay out - Nationwide's definition of 'active DD' might not be the same as your other bank's.

Thanks for the replies. No sorry, by second account I mean an account I rarely use so happy for it to be switched.
I'm not sure when they are likely to pull it as it seems to have been available for a while now.
I'll apply today but put the switch date for after the 1st just to make sure.
