Morning all
Good to see you TA. Take care x
I agree with others Izzy it's sad for you to see but she must look forward to seeing you
Coffee break after doing some housework. Waiting for a delivery from an online butchers so once it arrives it'll keep me out of mischief portioning it up for the freezer.
Might get out into the garden later to plant a few bits. DS brought me back some, altogether now, tulips from Amsterdam earlier this year which I planted yesterday. Sadly half of them have gone to mush but I thought the garage was the best place to store them before planting. Obviously not. Such a shame.
Have a good day all xx

Morning all from a soggy Mehefinland- another one who has been MIA.
Went with Gwen on Saturday to Newport as her assistant when she gave one of her 'talks' -just think Debbie Mcgee without the sparkly dress and high heels🤣 It bucketed down all day and we got
rathervery wet, The M4 was a nightmare - you could hardly see where the road markings were and there were still idiots whizzing past at who knows what speed with no lights on. The talk was well received though although lugging 5 massive boxes of quilts back and for to the car in the rain was no fun. To top it off, the blasted DPF light came on again on the way home. It was only supposedly fixed on Friday so I am not a happy bunny. They are coming out this afternoon to have another look - it is getting to be an expensive time and all the parts which have been changed are original manufacturer only so can't even shop around. The MOT is looming so it has to be right by then or it is an instant fail, GRRRR!Chucks have been left in the spare stable for the last few days - it just was not the weather to let them out into the run. They had a lovely time turning over all the old shavings and hunting for bits and pieces.
Nags don'tmind the wet, just the wind so they have had mixed fortunes. Don't know what Fairypony has been doing - she can pee and poo for Britain - just been going round and round mangling it all into her bedding- which reminds mr that I need to go get some…
Better go
Hugs ands spoons as always. Sorry to hear about everyone's woes-so extra hugs if you need them.
Mehefin aka Derek

@RedRuby1231 I'm sorry your SiL is being so dreadful but it sounds like your MiL will have a lovely service.

Morning all - I'm a bit late to the yard although I have been out to take away the recycling and black bin rubbish.
Once I was home yesterday I unpacked and then did a bit of admin. A form needed to be completed and posted off so I did it immediately as the postie was due. I was so befuddled by the jag that I transposed the numbers of my bank sort code and didn't realise until the postie had been and gone bearing my letter. So I phoned the company to explain, during which I spelt out my house name wrongly. 😫 In my defence the name is Gaelic which means it's got weird spelling but still… Then I went to bed, slept for over 12 hours and woke refreshed and renewed!
This morning I have a couple of women coming to maybe take on the cleaning of my place. The chap I have is lovely but he's not that good,he misses areas and doesn't seem to lift things. I pay for two hours and he's usually gone by 1.5 hours which I really wouldn't mind if he did a more thorough job. I hope that these two will take it on, they are rather busy so my fingers are crossed.
PHEW! @TravellingAbuela, so good to see you. I hope that you are soon more able to post. hugs to you and family.
What a nightmare for you @RedRuby1231, deaths do bring out the worst in people. As for the bag of clothes, reactions vary so much. One friend of mine's sister refused to touch their late Mum's home for five years, paying council tax and insurance etc for all that time. Extremes at both ends. If your SIL is absent then no matter, your focus is better served on your OH and his Dad. Good luck with the new person.
@IzzyBee - I too feel that your poorly lady likes the routine and comfort, and seeing a non-medical person is good for her too. You're doing a great kindness there.
My garden chap is coming later this afternoon, it's the first dry day for a fortnight. The grass is gagging to be cut and there's a portion of the fencing at the front which needs putting back up. The wee garden is part of the field so I'm worried about cattle or sheep getting snagged on splintered wood. I've lit the wood burner for the first time this winter, I feel in need of a little extra warmth today.
My thoughts are with all our poorlies and those MIA. Take care - xx

It's the crack of noon!
Ahead of next month, just done my budget. There are all fancy pie charts and everything as I plan how to reprioritise the income to take some adjustments into account. I suppose I'd better get on wth actually earning the money now…
