A pair of £38 boots. Probably not worth repairing.

    Just buy another pair.

At that price point, how much longevity can you really expect?

fabric trainer type shoes - pumps in old money. Specifically designed to be washed; Sketchers are one that make them. I’m not advocating putting a pair of Loakes in the wash 😁

I find it hard to buy Comfy shoes when I do I get them heeled and occasionally soled yearly. Had a Sainsbury's pair of ankle boots for 10 yes before the uppers finally went I think it is worth it when you find something really comfy

At a £38 price point, they're essentially disposable boots rather than footwear designed for repeated repair.

However, buying £38 boots and then chucking them in the landfill costs in other ways. Not sure the planet would agree this is a good solution!

    Google AI says

    "Estimated Price Breakdown [at Timpsons]

    • Ladies' Heels / Tips: Starting from around £7.95
    • Standard / Normal Soles: Around £35.00
    • Hard-Wearing / Heavy-Duty Soles: Around £45.00
    • Basic Sole & Heel Repair: Around £26.00
    • Full Resoles / Complex Work: Up to £89.99
    • Rubber Heel Protectors with Studs: Around £48.50
    • Accessories (e.g., Shoe Polish): Around £4.50"

So for a £38 pair of boots probably not worth it

Looking at the boots, I'm not sure they can be repaired? It looks like one solid moulded sole. Good idea to see what Hushpuppies say, you never know.
