Morning all.
@Redruby2 - My condolences on the sad passing of your MiL, my thoughts are with you, your DH and FiL. That was a difficult but kind decision to make and I hope you can all be comforted by the fact that she slipped away peacefully.
The storm has blown itself out here and today is much calmer but we're in for rain for the best part of the day, heavy at times too. I'm about 9 miles away from Leeds/Bradford airport and I know a lot of flights from there were cancelled so I'm thankful we escaped the worst of the weather compared with other parts of the country, some of which still have more to come. I can't say I relish the darker evenings after the clock change but at least I'm warm, dry and have power on.
@Gers - Glad to hear your journey down to Glasgow went so smoothly, given the conditions - let's hope it's the same on the return journey.
@AlwaysAllie - That was disappointing about the craft fair, I'm glad you made it home in one piece.
@Coxy11 - I'm so sorry you didn't get the job but you know what they say: as one door closes ….. and all that.
Nothing exciting happening here, just the usual daily routine and I can't even think of anything to waffle about! I'm still wondering what's happened to TA, it isn't like her to miss posting so I hope all is well. Today's culinary effort for dinner is a mushroom risotto - lots of stirring involved but the end result will be worth it. 😁
Take care all, especially if you have to venture out and about in the awful weather. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.6 -
