Amex Platinum Reward Card
I have recently received my new AMEX Platinum Reward card which I applied for having read MSE's analysis of it's benefits, specifically the introductory 2% maximum reward rate (for purchases over £10K pa) available to new applicants until 12/01/2027.
I have just received confirmation that I have activated the card correctly and confirming the reward rate (min £3K spend, 0.5% on spend up to £10K, 1% over £10K in 12 months) - no mention of the 2% rate. I spoke with their Customer Services and the lady I spoke with checked their current Consumer offers and confirmed they do not recognise the 2% rate quoted in the MSE appraisal. I have sent them a screenshot of the MSE article for further investigation.
Could the MSE team please confirm the 2% top rate offer is valid and how I (and presumably other money savers) can access it (now retrospectively).
Many thanks

You don't need MSE confirmation and it isnt an MSE offer, it's on the amex website. This is what you should quote to Amex when you speak to them.

There's the Amex Platinum Cashback Everyday Credit Card (linked above) that has this 2% cashback deal, featured in MSE article.
There doesn't seem to be any variety of Amex Platinum card with the word "reward" in its title.
There's the Amex Preferred Rewards Gold Credit Card with no cashback deal, featured in MSE article.
There's a lot of flavours of Amex card, could the OP confirm exactly which one they've got?
