thanks for the start @Gers
It was a bit wild and wet yesterday but nothing compared to the forecast for North today - please everyone, take care.
I’m at a craft fair all weekend, it’s at a venue along a heritage steam railway so whether anyone venture out in the rain today will be interesting.
DM starts some new medication for her low BP on Monday so 🤞 that works. Thanks again for everyone’s thoughts and kind words.AA

Morning, thanks Gers
It's dry and calm out there at the minute, but going to change.
I was wondering if TA is having a last week in the caravan, I'm sure she mentioned something about it. Hope she's ok.
Yesterday was a bad day, fine rain all day not particularly cold though.
Be careful with that ankle Allie, it sounds painful.
Remmie, hope your dd got some help with transporting her ds.
Glad the sausages were nice.
Coxy, you seem to have had a bad few weeks, hope things pick up for you.
Hi to our new poster, this is a lovely friendly thread, keep posting if you can.
We had a great night out last night at dil's nephew's birthday party, we knew everyone, and it was really nice.
Hope everyone is ok, stay safe today, take care folks.

Good morning
Yesterday's storm wasn't as bad as expected here, although a tree did come down in the village, luckily no one was hurt. Will await today's storm.
Things didn't go as planned for my dgs, although his dad did turn up to take him to hospital and stayed while he had his op. Because his ankle is still very swollen they were unable to pin it and have put a frame on to hopefully bring the swelling down, then he has to have another op to remove the frame and pin his ankle. He is still in hospital at present. Lots of phone calls going on.
No plans for today, will see how the weather is. Burgers in brioche rolls tonight while watching strictly.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
Yesterday’s storm brought a tree down in the lanes so DH was held up for a while coming home from work. We have rain forecast from 11am today then the wind from 5pm. Looks like our friends in the North will get it worse so take care everyone xx
I am feeling much brighter and have no plans to go out today. DDad is being dropped off as DSis is out, plus we have the bedroom carpet being fitted this morning. Hope to be sleeping back in there tonight 🤞🏻
Food will be HM spicy courgette soup for lunch and a pasta dish tonight using YS Heck chicken sausages. I will cobble something together!!
Hope the craft fair goes well @AlwaysAllie 🤞🏻Sorry to hear DGS procedure was complicated @remmie x
Have a good day all

Morning again, I've been faffing around upstairs. Had a weird night so was in no rush to get going. I've now got the WM going with a delicate wash and got my first coffee.
After dithering around yesterday I went out to get some things from the wee deli though not everything as it's vegetarian / vegan but it was my turn for a free coffee on my card so that was a bonus. Then I took away a couple of electrical items and recycling. On the way past the gift shop I popped in to buy a medium sized backpack. The small one I bought much earlier this year is just a tad too tight for more than one night away.
I've been contemplating doing some shopping this morning then decided against it. I've more than enough for today and am off tomorrow down to Glasgow, weather permitting, for two nights so will do it when I come back. The weather is forecasted to be beyond horrendous from late morning / early afternoon until Monday. There's two different warnings issued, one for rain and one for wind so the hatches are being battened down and things prepared. I'll move my car away from the barn later in case tiles get swept off.
Keep safe and warm where ever you all are. Hugs to the poorlies and those with poorlies to look after or worry about. x

Dry here for now but rain and storms due from 10 this morning and all day, sounds like those up north will have it worse so stay safe xx
Today will be a bit of housework and hoovering etc and OH will take the dogs out for a longer walk, they only got a short one yesterday and it was very windy and raining.
Dinner tonight will be soup and a toastie, I think I will do carrot and coriander with some lentils to thicken it, I will make it this morning and then just reheat tonight.
The fire will be lit early today as it’s getting colder in the afternoons.
Don’t forget the clocks change tonight.
Have good days all and take care xx

Dry and calm here at the moment but rain is expected around 11 this morning and then the wind will get stronger. Hope all up north stay safe as you're getting it alot worse than us down south
Just made a sponge so will fill it later once it's cooled. Nothing else planned today as the weather sets in. Will have to find a film to watch on the tv to keep me amused methinks.
Got a free pizza from my sky app yesterday so that's dinner sorted.
Have a good day all x

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope you stay safe from the storm.
I've been to the allotment to plant the garlic that arrived yesterday, I got really cold so have put the heating on for a while. Washing on the airer by the radiator. I may not light the stove today as it frightens the living daylights out of me when it starts to roar with the wind.
Glad you're feeling better Coxy, love the sound of your spicy courgette soup.
Sounds like you enjoyed the party Scarlet.
Hope your DGS is ok remmie.
One of my friends fell a few weeks ago and broke her arm so I'm taking her supermarket shopping in a while so will top up with anything I need whilst I'm out, I forgot to get bottled water yesterday when I was at Lidl - there's probably not any left now!
Have a good weekend, take care. XX

Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers.
This morning is dull, dry and calm (so far) but we're under a yellow weather warning starting at 11 am today through to 9 pm tomorrow. Top daytime 'feels like' temperatures are forecast to be in single figures too. Winter is a-coming! 😕
Yesterday morning I ventured out for milk and a couple of other bits and bobs so I should be fully stocked up now for the rest of the month. In the afternoon I did the weekly admin stuff and made a chicken curry, half for the freezer and half for today. I'm debating whether to have it with rice or a jacket potato. In the evening I caught up with a couple of episodes of the GBSB with four to go. I've nothing in particular planned for today so I'll keep myself busy by getting a couple of jobs off the To Do list. Which jobs will depend on how I feel. 😉
@AlwaysAllie - Fingers crossed the weather doesn't affect the craft fair too much.
@remmie - Sorry to hear your DGS's ankle procedure didn't happen, I hope the swelling goes down quickly.
Please take care all and stay as safe as you can in this stormy weather. Gentle hugs for the poorly ones, those caring for others and anyone finding it tough right now. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
morning everyone we are supposed to have the storm later today I dread the damage it causes. Remmie fingers crossed your DGS ankle procedure goes alright I hope the swelling goes down soon. Not a lot happening here I’ve done some housework going to walk the dog now before the rain I don’t want to be soaked through to the skin like I was yesterday while I was emptying the van at the food waste what a morning we were like drowned rats well the ones that turned up were . Safe travels Gers stay safe everyone. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing
