Hi Guys,
I am literally just after some tips and leads.
I am moving into my very own home for the first ever time in 17 days !
I have some stuff that I have bought and kindly been given, but I am still on the lookout for quite a few bits and bobs.
So, if anyone see's anything at all that the first time buyer cannot do without, or knows of anywhere with any good sale items on then please let me know.
Thanks in advance guys.
Love,
Gill x

Try police and government auctions. They are full of everything you would ever need at a tiny price.

Hi Gill,
Moved into our first home last march, I have picked up lots of bits of bobs, lamps, cutelry, crockery and decorative items really cheaply from Shops like Au Naturel - I think thts what it is called, part of Internationale clothing stores I believe. We also got bits from Marks and Spencers, using online codes really helped save pennies! Ooh also parents bought is pots and pans sets cheap from boyes/TK MAX. Hope that helps!
We are still gathering bits and bobs 9 months later. Once you have settled in it becomes fun I promise! Best of luck in your new home. :j0 -
Definitely second IKEA. They have their kitchen start up sets on sale at the moment. Also things like tea towels at 19p, duvet covers for a few pounds, pillows and duvets cheap, cheap lamps, candles for homely feel - definitely worth a visit.now mum of 4!!!0

Primark do homeware stuff too if you have one close by and reasonable prices too. duvets, pillows, bedding, pictures, bath mats, shower curtains, candle holders, bathroom stuff too.

Depends on your budget level really....
I would look at the cheap offers on dyson hoovers dc07 origin for 108 quid.
I have seen cheap quality pots and pans and knife blocks on hotukdeals.com. (deals site)/
Debenams have cheap bedding at this time of year I think 75%off etc.
I too may be moving house soon so I am on th lookout for small things at the moment.

agreed with most of the previous posts.
Primark are good,
Ikea - Excellent
I am hopefully moving house again for the 5th time soon ... I have just pivked up loads of kitchenware really cheap fro the Debenhams sale and also in Asda.
Also if you are not to shy to do it a lot of the charity shops stock brand new things ... When I moved house the 2nd time I was starting again with nothing and being a single parent with a baby at the time I bought loads of new stuff from there.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Don't buy too much - just the bare basics. I've still got mismatched glassware/mugs from my student days over 12 years ago and 8 house moves later. About to embark on yet another house move and I just might get organised and donate a box load to the local charity shop and finally get out all the 'good' crystalware to use (wedding gifts 8+ yrs ago!)0
