LinkedIn refusing refund for annual subscription - what can I do?

A tad rude, don't you think? I have clearly taken responsibility several times in this thread and accepted both my mistake and the outcome all the same. I do think it's predatory though - it being my error does not mutually exclude that.

I don't think your analogy works re the shop returns. If a shop accepts returns in their T and cs then that is your legal right, it is not dependent on how many times you have returned something in the past. This is complicated by the fact that some online sites, Amazon being the stand out one, will warn you once they believe you are taking advantage and then either tell you they will not do any more change of mind returns - and may even block your account entirely. If however an 'in person' shop doesn't take returns (which is a legal right to refuse) but gives you a goodwill gesture on one occasion - then you can't insist you always get a goodwill return refund in future.

Shops are under no legal obligation to accept a "change of mind return" and it's down to their goodwill whether they accept a return.

I think it's odd that you consider a trial (to see if a service is suitable for you) to be the equivalent of changing your mind.

You tried the service last year and it wasn't suitable, many services do not let you have a second free trial so you are fortunate LinkedIN did.

I don't see LinkedIN did anything wrong here. There was a contract and they are sticking to it. It's business to business so you are expected to know what you are doing (even the reminder is something they don't need to do for a B2B contract)

Taking out a LinkedIn subscription is NOT business to business, unless you've registered your account as a business one. The vast majority of account holders are individuals.

However what may matter is where the contract is deemed to have been formed .. the T&Cs should make that clear .. as that would determine what rights you have.

An individual is not the same as a consumer. LinkedIN is for users acting in a professional capacity.

I have a LinkedIn account - I am retired. What professional capacity is that? 🤷‍♀️

How do you use it then Jenni? Exchanging recipes perhaps?

Regardless of how you use it, when an individual uses it for purposes that are wholly or mainly in connection with that individual's trade, business, craft or profession (and in my experience that is everyone except you) they are not a consumer and it is a B2B contract.
