Afternoon all, thanks for starting today's thread @ScarletRibbons.
@camelot1001 - I try to be organised but, as we all know, life sometimes throws a spanner in the works. On those occasions I'm like the proverbial swan that's gliding along but paddling furiously underneath.
@AlwaysAllie - I'm so sorry your DM has had another fall and hope the cause of her drop in blood pressure can be remedied quickly. Sadly, falls in the elderly can be down to so many different reasons.
@remmie - Fingers crossed your DH's blood test results will be better this time.
@Gers - A drop of water in the air fryer is also good when cooking sausages (or anything fatty); apparently it stops the fat spitting.
@RedRuby1231 - If your days are filling up with work then keeping your evenings free is probably the best decision, we all need and deserve some downtime to ourselves.
@dp1 - Pleased you have a friend to chat to when the day hasn't gone well. Happy new Sofa Day!
Today is chilly but calm with a mixture of clouds and sunny intervals forecast, daytime highs of around 9 or 10 deg.
Yesterday's eye test went well and I don't need any new glasses. 😀 Next, I dropped off the CS donations and came home with a £3.49 jigsaw puzzle that someone must have bought from RHS for £28. 😯 There are four separate puzzles in the box so I think I got a bargain there. Once again I dodged the rain that was just starting as I got home. All in all, a good day.
Today's weather is supposed to be better than the next couple of days and I had planned to go out for milk and a TV guide but RM have confirmed they will be delivering my new router/hub so I'll have to be in for that but, if need be, the shopping can wait until tomorrow. As it's Thursday, the day when I use up odds and ends from the fridge, I'll be having soup and a sandwich at lunchtime and dinner can be a small pizza with orzo pasta and garlic bread.
Has anyone heard anything from Travelling Abuela? She's been missing for a few days now.
Hugs for anyone needing one, take care and stay warm. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7 -
