Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, an early rise for you.
We have a good day weatherwise in store today (apparently), sadly I don't have enough washing to make a load.
DW on, forgot to start it last night, should be finished by the time I leave for work.
Glad your appointment was successful SufolkSue.
Hope you managed to get rid of those wasps Allie. Sorry to hear your DM had a fall.
Good news on the job front Ruby, hope it all turns out well for you.
You always sound to be so organised Yorklass.
Yesterday at work was a little more settled but still lots of children being kept at home until the security arrangements and procedures are in place. I'm finding it very difficult to keep quiet!
Have a good day, hugs to those unwell or with worries. Take care. xx

Morning again, seems dry here, still dark.
Yes, I was up early Camelot, I'd been awake for a while and got bored just lying there,I knew I wouldn''t sleep again so thought I might as well get up. Hope work goes ok.
I met up with dil's mum yesterday in Newcastle, and talked our way round the Grainger Market, forgot about the butchers. Went into Pri*ark but couldn't find any joggers that I liked, I bought a coat that I'm now having second thoughts about. Then we talked our way to our respective bus stops. We'll be seeing each other again on Friday evening at her grandson's birthday party!
I need to go out this morning to return a hairdryer to Bo*ts, I ordered 2 by mistake. Then it'll be back home to do a few jobs.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to those who are poorly, take care folks.

Thanks for the start Scarlet
Yesterday did not go to plan. DM fell again - just bad bruising but she has been very lucky not to do more damage. Our wonderful District Nurse arrived an hour later and I’m afraid I told her what had happened as I knew DM wouldn’t - I think she knew there was a problem when I opened the door, and she saw my face. She was here an hour and finally dragged it out of DM only after discovering that her BP drops dramatically when she stands. Should hear from the GP re that today, in the meantime she’s been closely supervised when she moves around. Getting her up off the floor is difficult, and I worry that DF will hurt himself as I can’t do it alone, and ne’s nearly 88!
Anyway, I didn’t get to deal with the dead wasps. However the large pantry cupboard got emptied clean and painted. Hoping today is calmer!
Take care all

morning everyone thanks for the start scarlet it’s dry here and no rain until later I’m just off out to a cleaning job . Nothing much happening here I’ve been in touch with someone who has always fitted my carpets and flooring he is going to pop round sometime next week to have a look at my kitchen floor and measure up for some new flooring it’s far to light and it looks terrible it’s been down 5 years I can’t put up with it anymore I was tempted to get the winter out of it but no I gave it a good scrub yesterday and it doesn’t look much better. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Good morning, thanks Scarlet for starting.
Dry outside, yesterday stayed dry all morning but heavy rain arrived in the afternoon.
DH has an appointment at the GPs this morning for another blood test. The last one was borderline. Hopefully they won't change his meds as he's doing alright on the current dosage. Then he wants to go to Bee and queue to price up some wood for a project he's got in mind, he can never keep still.
Tonight we'll be trying out some Guinness sausages I bought on offer, with mash and veg.
AA, hope your Dm is ok and doesn't have any more falls.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all - pink sky outside, shepherds warning I think. Thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. I remember Grainger Market in the old days, the floors near to butchers were covered in sawdust, red spots showing that the huge half cows had been brought in to hang up. And the smell! Also lines of game hanging up outside unit fronts. I suspect that it's all changed now, I've been gone since 2013.
What a nightmare @AlwaysAllie - my beloved late DM had the same postural hypotension, in her case it was caused by one of her meds. As she was fairly tiny by this time I could hoik her up with a big grunt. I hope that the medics get your Mum sorted soon, falling down in the elderly is horrible.
@IzzyBee - your kitchen floor is my teaspoons! Put up with the until the madness is too much.
@camelot1001 - I read about absenteeism being up 50% in Scottish schools. Hard to see past it.
Yesterday I found myself down a very long rabbit hole of air fryer videos on YT. Some good, some great and some just utter rubbish. The best thing I learnt was to not use liners when wanting crispy food, and adding some water when reheating pizza - not that I have eaten pizza in over 20 years. 🤣 And I watched Slow Horses, very tense even though I've read all the books.
After my success with the bamboo clothing I bought the other week I ordered more. I've always preferred cotton over man-made materials but now that I've found bamboo pyjamas I'm a convert. I'd also bought a dress from Nobody's Child (in the sale) which I was sure wouldn't be a good fit or suit me - both wrong. I'm now a size 16 and have resigned myself to never being a size 14 so am much happier in how I look now. On Monday when I had the mini-drama over missing meds my remedy was to eat a Twirl. Rubbish, but it's me.
We have very bad weather forecasted for tomorrow and Sunday, the tail end of storm Austen which is hitting the SE of England. Perhaps I should pack a bag and go off to sunnier climes for the winter, but all those places are also having terrible weather too. So, stay at home, gather my loins, stock the fridge, bring in logs and hunker down it is.
Take care all, for those looking after poorlies or grumpies I'm sending a huge hug. Keep warm too. xx

Morning all
It’s been raining heavily all night stopped for now but more due later and all night again.
I’m off to mums this morning and then meeting a new prospective client this afternoon, he is a young autistic lad which is my field of work so 🤞🏻 for that. I took amorous dog out yesterday and all good, I think I’ve cracked it with him, he tried to jump up once and I made the ahh ahh sound and turned my back and he didn’t try again 😀 the man’s sister contacted me last night to say thanks and could I also do a Monday morning session, I’ve said I will let her know after my meeting today as depending on that I might potentially be full but I will help if I can.
I have decided against the respite in my house for now, I like peace and quiet in the evenings and I seem to be picking up enough work during the day.
Remmie snap we are having sausage mash and veg tonight with onion gravy something nice and warm for the colder evenings.
AA sorry to hear of your mums falls xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Nice and dry out there today so will get out into the garden later and do some re-potting of indoor plants.
Sorry to hear about your mum Allie. Hopefully a change in medication should sort out the problem. Spooky as we had sausage and mash yesterday for dinner with a couple of individual yorkshires that I found in the freezer too. Yummy
Another quiet day on the cards here but the sun will be nice to see.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning everyone
It's forecast to be sunny here today then rain for the next couple of days. my new sofas are coming between 11 and 1, so I'll be at work but my friend over the road has a key so she'll let them in. I'm going to clean the stair carpet this morning, my big rug in the living room came up lovely. I have little boy from bedtime for the next 4 nights as DD is taking little one away for the weekend, her friend who is also a foster carer will have him tomorrow while I'm at work. My new sofas will have throws on to keep his fingers off!
Not the best of visits to the care home yesterday, mam complained the whole time I was there, every time I tried to change the subject she thought of something else she didn't like and kept telling me it was my fault because I'd put her in there. I went over to my friends for a cuppa and a chat when I got home, I needed it!
You've all made me want sausage and mash, but I've got fishcakes out for my tea, I'll have sausages another night.
Allie I hope your mum is ok today x
Hope everyone has a good day x

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and support - I don't have many places to vent so apologies that I 'use' you all for that!
She's bruised and sore as to be expected. However I think maybe she has realised the seriousness, my main frustration being she just laughs it off. She did wake DF when she needed to get up during the night but it's not good for him to be up 3 times either! It's not a result of medication that she's on so will see what the GP says - thank goodness we have an amazing practice and nurses!
