Company car lease dispute

I have recently received a company car through employment and a 3rd party leasing company and not been made fully aware of the monthly financial impact on my pay. I am struggling to get any written confirmation despite raising a formal Complaint to the leasing company and my employer. Since getting my first salary deduction from receiving the car in July I am not being given options to end the contract without significant penalty which is resulting in ill health. Both parties are not taking responsibility to resolve the situation. Is it my employer who is responsible to support my situation? What are my rights. Any help would be appreciated, thank you

Who did you sign the contract with?

The exit penalties will be clearly laid out and there isn't normally a free get out of jail card once the lease has commenced.

When you say you weren't fully aware, was it a case of: you thought the amount would be eg £200/month but its £300/month? Do you have the £200/month in writing? If so, what's the extra stuff you got or is it just a different number?

By law, there are strict rules about what deductions an employer can make from your pay.

You have to have agreed the amounts to be taken before the lease was signed.

If the amount actually deducted is different then you have a legitimate complaint.

What sort of lease agreement is it? Salary sacrifice, a company car perk that's counted as a taxable benefit, or something else?

Lease agreements are normally for a fixed term, and have penalties if you try to exit early.

    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

If i were a betting person my guess is the OP wasnt aware of BIK and so the employer not only has the right to deduct the correct taxes but has a legal obligation to do so.

SO MUCH more detail needed in order to give any kind of sensible answer.

Is this a company car provided for your job, or a salary-sacrifice deal through your employer?
Is this just a misunderstanding of the tax implications, or are the numbers you were provided before agreeing simply wrong?
    What ARE the numbers?
What tax band are you in?

Either way, I think this is more a question for https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/employment-jobseeking-training than us.

Nowhere near enough detail for a meaningful response.

What did you agree to when taking the car. What is being deducted from your salary and how does this differ from what you agreed.
