How long before I’m a new customer of Chase?
I had an account that I closed earlier this year, they won’t let me open another - will I ever be a “new customer “ again, does anyone know, and have any idea how long it takes?
Thanks

At the moment Chase doesn't allow returning customers. When you've closed your last account, that's it.

I'm sure there will be exceptions but I haven't seen a single mention (here or elsewhere) of anyone being readmitted to the Chase Current Account Club once the account has been closed.

oh well, worth an ask. Thank you 👍

Chase have a rule where no previous customers can rejoin. They have had it since they launched years ago.

On a semi-related note, I've just switched out one of my Chase current accounts (to Natwest), and have managed to avoid their warning about having any remaining accounts closed, should I switch out again out in the future.
All I did was use the Chase current account for about a month before switching out.
The fact I didn't have any 30p direct debits set up on it, probably helped too 😄

Hi, I have just done exactly that switch couple of months ago. I switched three accounts out from Chase by leaving the main one open. They have now warned me that I have abused the system and quoted some T&Cs that were nowhere to be found (although I consider it to be fair).

What do you consider to be fair, switching out multiple accounts while leaving one to preserve 'membership'?
What's the wording they're relying on to warn you?

A slap on the wrist for 3 in quick succession is pretty lenient, I reckon.
