question re accessing old humax recordings
Hi all, just replaced my ancient humax freesat box - managed to almost clear the box of unseen recordings but still have a few - can I access these via my (Apple) laptop? and if so what cabling do i need? Many thanks in advance (be gentle ageing luddite here)

What is the model of the Humax? Some of the old ones could be hacked so you could access the recordings.

It is possible to remove the disk. With a simple USB-SATA adapter you can then connect the disk to any PC. Most open source freeware players will play the video files. The issue might be Apple and their closed ecosystem.

Depends on the recordings - SD quality will probably be readable but HD content will be encrypted to only play on the box it was recored on.
