DCB Legal - Mediation call transcript

Allegedly I overstayed at a free car park on 3 occasions in 2021, they'd like £890.

Following the 8 steps, had mediation call today. This is how it went:

Mediator: "They say you overstayed your free time, I'd like to understand your side of the story"

Me: "Not looking to go over my defence in detail, it's already been submitted, I'll offer £0"

Mediator: "They said your defence is a template you got online and you did overstay the free 2 hours on each occasion, they'll accept £650"

Me: "I'll offer £5"

Mediator: "They said your offer is unreasonably low and they'll offer £500"

Me: "£10 final offer"

Mediator: "They've rejected and would like to proceed to hearing"

Onto the next stages.. just thought I'd leave the transcript of the call in case it's helpful to anyone else.

  • N180/DQ Already been submitted to DQ.CNBC@justice.gov.uk. Am I correct in saying now we await hearing (which they are unlikely to follow-through with) and nothing left to do on my end? Thanks

That is the correct way to deal with a mediator and yes, you should now expect a Notice of Allocation. There is no guarantee that they will discontinue but you check out the DCB LEGAL RECORD OF PRIVATE PARKING COURT CLAIM DISCONTINUATIONS posted by @Umkomaas
