Empty Home 100% premium 2 year exception not 1

Just wanted to let you all know that the 100% empty home premium is not applicable for 2 years. I year from Probate exception THEN a further year for sale exception (you have to apply). I thought the two exceptions to the empty home premium would run side by side but they run one after the other. I applied on council website for exception to premium and they confirmed I have another year to sell. Still obviously have to pay council tax but at least not double. I dont think this is clear on our council tax website.
