Help with Digital Voice - Utility Warehouse

The other question (if things finally changed for her in the future ) is whether she has any sort of alert system tied to the landline.
Just for information Digital VoIP doesn’t work if the power goes off unless she gets an extra battery. My Mum is fine because she has a mobile for emergencies as well, but if your mum relies on her landline, it’s something else to think about.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

As stated , the question is if the OP’s mother is effectively a TT customer via UW , and that’s impossible to say for sure by anyone here as UW use a range of suppliers around the country , personally I’d think they are either incompetent or borderline reckless if they do need to switch this customer off PSTN and haven’t even contacted them about it yet (it’s getting pretty near to January) or they don’t need to contact the OPs mother because of the relationship to Talk Talks equipment in the exchange means they don’t need to do anything , unfortunately if it’s a concern it means contacting them to find out for sure, one way or another.

Registering as vulnerable should mean the backup batteries are supplied at no cost

They do have a section on their website but there is something to say about paying peanuts & monkeys given switchover is January

Maybe read the thread again, switchover MAY or MAY NOT be in January.

Talk Talk and Sky operate their own telephone networks this is a component of their broadband network, they are not ‘PSTN’ , Sky are being proactive in migrating their MSAN (not PSTN) telephone customers onto IP , because it suits them to do it , they are not bound by the PSTN switch off , because they are not PSTN , Talk Talk are the same in that their broadband network using MSANs delivers telephony (again this is not PSTN) but they are happy to continue MSAN telephone on MPF (metallic path facility) after January 2027 because it suits them……so your claim Digital Voice (a BT name for its IP telephony , not a universal name for IP telephony) switchover is 100% in January , is 100% wrong.

Why are we talking about talk talk all the time? The OP is with utility warehouse who are ran as a separate arm from talk talk. In fact UW themselves say 2027 - Broadband and landline FAQs
So far it's not clear if the customer in question is PSTN or not so to blindly say not affected is a bit wrong

You do like your absolutes, I didn't say they were not affected:
switchover MAY or MAY NOT be in January.
for PSTN users yes, not all are
