Installing luxury vinyl in kitchen
Looking to replace laminate with luxury vinyl in kitchen. The floor fitter told me he can disconnect gas cooker and reconnect. I thought I need to get a gas safe engineer to connect and reconnect gas cooker. Any advice pl! Thanks

Maybe turn the gas off while the job and get someone into reconnect. A qualified gas engineer will be able to pressure test the system to ensure it’s safe. Gas leaks take no prisoners.

So yes, a home owner can disconnect a gas appliance as long as it has a self sealing connector. Anything else should be done by a qualified Gas Safe engineer.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
